Kigali Genocide Memorial - Begin your day with an 8 am pickup from your Kigali hotel, heading to Volcanoes National Park, a journey of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.

After breakfast, an Afri Safaris guide will collect you from your Kigali hotel at 8 am. Following a brief orientation, embark on a city tour in a private vehicle, concluding at 10:30 am.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Volcanoes National Park Rwanda - Be ready for a 6:30 am pickup after breakfast, then transfer to Park HQ for a briefing.

At 7:00 am, enjoy coffee and meet park officials at RDB Kinigi. You’ll receive a briefing, be assigned a gorilla family based on fitness and age, and start the trek at 8:00 am.

The briefing includes information on gorilla behavior, expectations, and necessary items. At 8:00 am, drive to the starting point where porters are available if needed. Park rangers will guide your trek. Gorilla trekking occurs from approximately 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, lasting 2 to 6 hours.

Spend 1 hour with the gorillas—observe, photograph, and appreciate their behavior up close. Afterward, return to the starting point where your guide will be waiting. Then transfer to Migano in Musanze for lunch (1:20–2:00 pm).

In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Kivu (Karongi) and enjoy the scenic views.

Lunch will be at Bethany.

After lunch, transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park in the afternoon.

Stop by Gisakura for a Tea Plantation Tour (1 hour). After the tour, proceed to your accommodation.

Nyungwe Forest National Park - Early morning pickup at 5 am for a briefing at the park headquarters.

Experience chimpanzee trekking through Nyungwe Forest, renowned for its diverse primate and birdlife.

After the trek, return to Kigali for departure.

Lunch will be en route at Uwinka or Huye.
