- Luss - This tour for you and your private group is entirely adaptable. You can propose modifications to the tour schedule, even on the day itself. If time and geography permit, your driver will endeavor to accommodate your requests. Forty minutes after departing Glasgow, our first stop is this charming village on the western shore of Loch Lomond. Stroll past the sandstone and slate cottages to the pier, offering stunning views across to Ben Lomond and expansive loch vistas. Luss Graveyard features graves dating back to 600AD/700AD, including a Viking grave from 1250AD, complete with a Viking Hogback Stone.
- Loch Tulla Viewpoint - A 58-minute drive north from Luss takes you deeper into the Highlands, passing through increasingly dramatic landscapes before arriving in Tyndrum, a notable stop with restrooms and a shop before the wilderness of Rannoch Moor. We pause on the edge of Rannoch Moor with a truly breathtaking panorama, providing a place to begin appreciating the scale of the vast landscape.
- Rannoch Moor - One of the last wilderness areas in Europe, this vast region of bogs, small lochs (known as Lochans), streams, and rock outcrops offers several stopping points where you can immerse yourself in the spectacle of this area.
- Glencoe - After a 25-minute drive across Rannoch Moor into Glencoe, we stop for photographs or simply to take in the vast landscape. We can pause at the Kingshouse Hotel, located at the top of Glencoe Valley, to enjoy a coffee and snack inside the historic droving inn. Alternatively, we can continue down to sea level, stopping at the Glencoe visitor center on our way before embarking on our coastal drive to Oban.
- Oban - A stunning 66-minute drive from Glencoe leads to the picturesque and bustling port of Oban. Along the way, we can admire the magnificent and unspoiled coastline of Loch Linnhe, spot Stalker Castle, and the Falls of Lora. In Oban, you can savor seafood cooked in the open air, shop for souvenirs, enjoy a coffee, and explore this port gateway to Scottish Islands, such as Barra, Mull, and The Outer Hebrides.
- Kilchurn Castle - A 37-minute drive inland towards Inveraray reveals another sight to behold. Kilchurn Castle, built around 1450, remains impressive, and its setting at the top of Loch Awe with a backdrop of Highland splendor is magnificent.
- Inveraray - Arriving in Inveraray, just 20 minutes after leaving Kilchurn Castle, it’s time to enjoy this picture-perfect village at the top of Loch Fyne with the beautiful Inveraray Castle and Gardens. A 60-minute stop allows you to soak up the atmosphere and tranquility of a highland village. Entry to the castle and gardens requires a fee (closed Tue & Wed). The wonderful Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is just a 12-minute drive from Inveraray, featuring a deli and a take-away with an outdoor seating area. You can adjust your time in Inveraray if you wish to visit.
- Rest and be Thankful - Twenty minutes from Inveraray, another magnificent viewpoint offers beautiful views where you can see the old valley road winding up to our viewpoint. The old road was built 272 years ago following the Jacobite rebellion. We then descend to the head of Loch Long and make our way across to Loch Lomond again, then back to Glasgow, a 60-minute journey.
